Vehicle Detection System (VDS)

Vehicle Detection System (VDS) includes vehicle detection devices using image processing technology, laser, infrared, sensors, etc. installed along the routes, and data collector device located in operation room. Each station consists of one or multiple detection devices, a system cabinet (which contains DTS system equipment, power
supply, lightning conductor and other components) and computer for analyzing. The DTS (distributed transmission system) equipment will connect VDS station to data collector at operation room.
Some of the system’s main functions are:
• Detecting vehicles for warning or counting.
• Detecting oversized vehicles.
• Drawing 3D image of vehicles to organize them.
Based on the analyzed signals, the operators can provide accurate and timely plan for traffic situations.
