North-South Expressway Phase 2 is disbursing on schedule
(Chinhphu.vn) – By the end of January 2023, the North-South Expressway project phase 2 had disbursed VND 1,184 billion, meeting the required progress. In February 2023, the disbursement volume for the North-South Expressway project phase 2 was about 6,290 billion VND.

Updating the implementation status of the North-South Expressway project in the 2021-2025 period (North-South Expressway Phase 2), the Department of Construction Investment Management (Ministry of Transport) said that, up to now, out of a total of 25 construction packages, 14 packages have started construction on January 1, 2023 and the remaining 11 packages have signed contracts, are carrying out preparation work and starting construction.
For the packages that have signed contracts, contractors are planning implementation, organizing surveys, creating construction drawings, mobilizing personnel, machinery, equipment, building camps, completing mining procedures, etc. Some packages have organized the implementation of construction of service roads, organic excavation, and construction of main roadbeds.
A representative of the Department of Planning and Investment said that according to the report, by the end of January 2023, the North-South Expressway project phase 2 had disbursed VND 1,184 billion, meeting the required progress.
According to the registration of project management boards, in February 2023, the disbursement volume for the North-South Expressway project phase 2 was about 6,290 billion VND.
Hand over 100% of premises in the second quarter
More information about site clearance (GPMB) for project construction, according to the Department of Construction Investment Management, currently, localities have handed over GPMB for 559.5/721.3 km, reaching 77.5%, qualified for contractors to organize construction.
Compensation work for site clearance is continuing to be carried out by localities, ensuring handover of 100% of the site area in the second quarter of 2023.
Regarding resettlement, the project plans to build 156 resettlement areas on a total area of nearly 445 hectares.
Of which, Ha Tinh province built 25 zones, with a total area of 31 hectares; Quang Binh province built 30 zones, with a total area of more than 85 hectares; Quang Tri province built 11 zones, with an area of nearly 45 hectares; Quang Ngai province built 23 zones, with a total area of 123 hectares; Binh Dinh province built 41 zones, with an area of 105 hectares; Phu Yen province built 12 zones, with a total area of 20 hectares; Khanh Hoa province built 6 zones, with an area of nearly 25 hectares; Hau Giang province built 4 zones, with an area of more than 13 hectares; Kien Giang province built 1 zone, with an area of 4.9 hectares; Can Tho city, Bac Lieu province and Ca Mau province each have 1 available zone.
To date, localities have established projects to build 152 zones, approved 44 zones, and implemented construction of 30 zones.
Regarding the relocation of technical infrastructure, the Department of Construction Investment Management informed: Localities are developing plans to relocate technical infrastructure, submitting them to competent authorities for approval, with a quantity of about 14 500 kV power line locations, 134 220 kV power line locations, 71 110 kV power line locations and 475 fiber optic cable locations.
