Quang Binh: From February 15, Dong Hoi City will handle traffic violations detected through cameras.
On February 9, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Dan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh), said that the city will apply traffic violation handling through the camera surveillance system from February 15.
Previously, from June 1, 2022, Dong Hoi City Police and relevant agencies have handled traffic violations through 7 surveillance cameras located at the following locations: Nhat Le 1 Bridge, Truong Phap Street (north of Bac Thanh Bridge), Tran Hung Dao - Hai Ba Trung intersection, Phan Dinh Phung bypass intersection (Phan Dinh Phung – Ho Chi Minh road), city welcome gate (in Loc Ninh commune and Phu Hai ward), Ly Thai To intersection - Ho Chi Minh road.
Currently, Dong Hoi City has installed 20 more traffic surveillance cameras, including 19 cameras for monitoring and handling traffic violations, and 1 camera for monitoring traffic flow. Up to now, the integration into the camera system of the Smart City Monitoring and Operation Center has been completed. Dong Hoi City People's Committee has notified agencies, units, and localities in the area about applying traffic violation handling through camera images since February 15.
In addition, organizations and individuals can look up violations at the DongHoi SmartCity application.
This policy aims to implement the project of building a smart city in Dong Hoi City in the period of 2021 - 2024.
